Terms and Conditions
• Banquet Fee, Taxes & Gratuity. All charges are subject to a four percent (4%) banquet fee, for the operational and administrative costs incurred by the restaurant to host your event. Applicable sales taxes will also be added to the final bill. Client understands that gratuity for the service staff is NOT included in the contract price or the Banquet Fee and Client has the unrestricted right to determine such amount, if any. However, in order to assist you with the best possible total cost estimation, and for your convenience, we may show Suggested Gratuity of 18% to your estimated costs. Unless we are told to the contrary, the Suggested Gratuity will be included on the final bill. Should you wish to change the Suggested Gratuity at the time of the event, please inform a manager when you are presented the final bill.
• Balances: Balances are due in full upon conclusion of event. Balances can be prepaid or paid on the day of the event by cash, company check, money order, or major credit card. Final bill may be split into a maximum of seven (7) separate checks.
• Credit Card Holds: Upon conclusion of the event, the credit card noted on this agreement may also be charged if proper payment is not available to close out bill on-site. This will include any additional food & beverage purchases, incremental costs incurred during meal function or if attendance exceeds guarantee count.
• Guarantee: The final count must be received by the Sales Department by 3:00 pm three (3) business days prior to the function date. If the function falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, guarantee is due by the preceding Thursday. All charges will be based upon the guarantee or the actual number of guests served if greater than the guarantee. Upon approval by the Sales Department, the guarantee may be increased after 72 hours within reason, but not decreased. Any additional function fees will be charged accordingly. Please copy Sales Department on any changes made directly with the restaurant so that the contract may be adjusted.
• Cancellation/No-Show: Cancellation must be received by writing by e-mail or mail 7 days prior to the event. Should your group cancel within 7 days prior to their scheduled event, you will forfeit 50% the group's prepayment. No-Shows or groups that cancel less than 24 hours (during our normal operating hours) prior to function will be liable/charged for 100% of the contracted amount.
• Tax-Exempt Status: In order to be eligible for a Tax Exempt status, a copy of your company’s Tax Exemption Certificate must accompany your signed contract. Rainforest Cafe can only accept Tax Exempt forms from the state in which the restaurant is located. Groups without the proper paperwork will be responsible for any taxes associated with the meal.
• Location: This contract is valid at the specified location only. If another location is utilized, the group will be considered a no-show at the contracted location and may be charged accordingly.
• Reservations: Groups are required to arrive at the contracted time. Seating will only be held 15 minutes past the contracted time. Groups arriving after the 15 minute grace period will be seated on a space available basis, otherwise space may be forfeited at discretion of the Manager on duty. Groups that extend more than 15 minutes past contracted time without prior written approval may be subject to an additional $10 per person space fee for each additional 30 minute increment. Any outside food or decorations must be approved by management and fees may apply.
• Outdoor Functions: In the best interest of the guest, Rainforest reserves the right to move outdoor functions inside, if available, on the day of the function due to forecasted weather. The decision made on the day of function is final.
• Special Incentives: Landry's Select Club Points cannot be earned in conjunction with discounted or promotional group menus, with any other special group offer, employee discount or any other designated offer, discount, incentive promotion or dollar-off, limited-time promotion.
